College Choice has named Syracuse University’s Master of Science in Computer Science one of the 50 best in the United States. The rankings are based on cost of tuition, the average salary of recent graduates, and the school’s overall academic reputation.
Syracuse University’s College of Engineering and Computer Science offers computer science programs that emphasize fundamental principles and new developments in computing. Courses are taught by award-winning faculty who are at the forefront of research and discovery in areas including artificial intelligence, data mining methodologies in cybersecurity, assured systems, and the intersection of computational complexity, formal methods, and programming language semantics.
Dean Teresa A. Dahlberg said, “Computing has become ubiquitous in virtually every aspect of our lives. It is vital that we provide a world-class education that gives students the knowledge and inspiration to design and optimize the computational systems that will help shape our future. We are answering the call for the world’s increasing need for computer science education.”
The M.S. in Computer Science, with an optional track in data science, is offered on the Syracuse University campus and online through Engineering@Syracuse. Along with an M.S. in Cybersecurity and an M.S. in Computer Engineering, the online program combines 2U, Inc.’s advanced learning platform and technology-enabled services with the College’s innovative, real-world curriculum.
