Two College of Engineering and Computer Science students were winners at the Student Poster Competition at the New York State Green Buildings Conference in March. Yige Yang G’15, won the competition in the category of Non-Architecture Graduate Research, and William Guida ’18, won the competition in the category of Non-Architecture Undergraduate Research.
Yige Yang’s poster showcased research on how green roofs perform and the growth characteristics that can improve storm water management.
William Guida’s poster highlighted research on green roof performance under differing rainfall conditions.
The New York State Green Building Conference promotes and supports green building design, construction and processes.
Conference participants represented many industries including architecture, engineering, construction, consulting, deconstruction, landscape architecture, government, higher education, K-12 education, state agencies, real estate, and management firms.
The conference was held at the Marriott Syracuse Downtown and hosted by SUNY-ESF in partnership with the U.S. Green Building Council New York Upstate and the Syracuse Center of Excellence.
