February 22, 2017 - 5:00 pm — 7:00 pm
The Syracuse University Alumni Association and the College of Engineering and Computer Science invite you to a unique tailgate experience as the Orange face off against the Duke Blue Devils. Come enjoy snacks, drinks, and great Syracuse giveaways before the big game!
In honor of National Engineers Week, engineering and computer science majors will also be on hand to host interactive STEM activities.
- Project #1 (Joshua Saxton): My design project is a rainfall simulator. I designed and fabricated it myself to test plot sized samples of green roof growth medium. It’s an interesting piece of equipment, and it would be exciting if I could run it continually throughout the presentation. The community and alumni could see it in action, it’s really interesting when you see it running!
- Project #2 (Megan Ingram and team): Our design project is a gait correction cane in which we will show students our senior design project where we’ve explored the design process. We will show a PowerPoint of our process including the research done, the schematics of the design, as well as explain how we will begin prototyping the product. We will demonstrate the current problems that are associated with the products that are on the market now and what we plan to improve on. We will explain our reasoning behind creating this product and who we expect to help and why.
